SiMo Spheroidal graphite cast iron alloyed with Silicon (Si) - Molybdenum (Mo) for elevated temperature applications

The spheroidal cast irons, alloyed with Silicon and Molybdenum (SiMo), are used for high temperature applications (800 - 900 °C).
The high content of Silicon (Si) increases the corrosion resistance, while the Molybdenum (Mo) increases the mechanical strength with high temperature.
These cast irons can be used  for the production of internal combustion  exhaust manifolds for marine engines, which represents for years our main application field.

Our technicians will advise you in choosing the suitable material to meet your needs.
